In keeping with the tradition of previous editions — initiated in Hsinchu (Taiwan) in 2014 and followed by Jeju (South Korea) in 2016, Berlin (Germany) in 2020, and Knoxville (USA) in 2023 — we are pleased to announce that the next International Conference on High-Entropy Materials (ICHEM 2027) will be held in Paris, France, from June 27 to July 1, 2027.
This event will bring together leading scientists, engineers, and young researchers from around the world to discuss the latest advances in the design, characterization, and properties of high-entropy materials. We look forward to welcoming you to Paris for an inspiring and fruitful scientific exchange.
The proposed main topics are as follows:
- Alloy design and thermodynamics of complex systems: thermodynamics, Calphad, machine learning, physical models...
- Formation of microstructures: processing methods, solidification, thermo-mechanical treatments, recrystallization…
- Microstructure–mechanical property relationships: mechanics, phases, crystalline defects, characterization tools, multiscale modeling…
- Influence of environmental effects on the properties of high-entropy materials: extreme conditions, corrosion, irradiation, temperature, oxidation…
- Functional properties: magnetism, catalysis, biocompatibility, optical and electronic effects...
- Recyclability and sustainability of high-entropy materials: circular economy, life cycle assessment, eco-design, critical raw materials, environmental impact, green metallurgy…
We are looking forward to welcoming you in Paris for ICHEM 2027!
